Discover the Story Behind the Spotlight

Dr. Sherry L. Brent grew up in Southern California in a loving family. She committed her early years to the United States Army. Unfortunately, circumstances as a Black female veteran resulted in overwhelming trauma. These experiences led to her incarceration. The California penal system is more supportive of incarceration and less of rehabilitation. However, Dr. Brent is an overcomer and believer in the redeemability of all mankind. She now holds multiple degrees in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, and Education. As founder/President of Road To Redemption she has made it her goal to help and uplift women, veterans, and business owners through education and mental health.
