Research Interests

Global education on the social determinants of involvement in the legal system for Black individuals born female, who are being incarcerated at a rate higher than individuals born male and surpass people of all other races. This research explores ways to understand and address the gap through survey development, evaluation of evidence-based translational research, and the implementation of community-based projects and programs designed to reduce recidivism, mitigate housing insecurity and homelessness, and lower mental health inpatient admissions while achieving optimal outcomes for opioid and other drug crisis abatement.
